It was during the workshop proposed by Isabelle Hesselberg (2 Brides), Swedish photographer as talented as generous, that I met Lourdes and Kike. Models for this session, they are also a real couple in life. Kike had planned to ask Lourdes to become his wife and thus hid the engagement ring in her coat, anyone was warned…
We started the session at the beginning of the afternoon at the magnificent Mas Torroella. Chosen by the organizers of the Traveling Light Film photography Festival, this place is absolutely incredible if you want to organize a refined and upscale reception in Catalonia at one hour from Barcelona … The first photos are taken outdoors under a grey sky. Then we went in a warm indoor room with its stone wall and finally, back outside at the end of the day. The sun is still leaking us, no amazing sunset for these couple photos. On the contrary, it is necessary to get the coats, it is Lourdes who goes to look for them … Kike just remembered that he hid the engagement ring in his one…
More fear than harm, Kike catch his coat before Lourdes, she Lourdes still does not suspect anything. We continue shooting and we arrive in front of the outdoor pool for what must be the last pictures. Suddenly, Kike kneels, Lourdes begins with a smile of incomprehension before bringing her hands to his face. Tears come with joy and “yes”! The couple Lourdes and Kike, now futures bride and groom, ends the session together on their knees and clenched against each other … They lived a fairy tale live.
